Reclaim+ed

I’m an absolute sucker for derelict spaces, and frankly, nature taking over control of these human-made constructs.

Reclaim+ed is an ongoing project and investigates the former Soviet/GDR military buildings left to rot in the woods around Berlin and Brandenburg.

Inspired by Richard Mosse's incredible Infra project, covering a conflict in Kongo with the help of (now discontinued) Kodak Aerochrome film, I decided to use Lomography’s Lomochrome Purple as my medium.

Less a gimmicky film stock, as it is widely portrayed as, it seemed like the perfect stock to accentuate and highlight this reclaiming power and beautiful awakening of nature happening before our very eyes, dissecting who really is in charge here.

All shot with Zenza Bronica ETRSi on Medium Format Lomochrome Purple.
